Still Life:

A series of photographs composed of found objects

6 Lines:

A series inspired by The Rave I'Ching and Human Design

The Rave I'Ching is an updated version of the Traditional Chinese I'Ching. This new version was written by Ra Uru Hu, the founder of the Human Design System.

The Human Design System combines 4 ancient knowledge systems in a way that reveals to us who we are, how we interface with life, and how to navigate our own lives as authentic, unique individuals in a rapidly changing world.

Each hexagram in the I'Ching correlates to one gene in the human genome. In this series I used found objects to explore the forms of the hexagrams themselves, each composed of 6 lines. The hexagrams acted as a foundation for my exploration of the shapes of the objects and the spaces between them. I would sometimes go far beyond the 6 lines, but I always came back to that 6 line structure to begin again.
